What is Sustainable Alt?
Sustainable Alt is an online home store focused on smart, long-lasting upgrades for your home. We carry products like Level 2 EV chargers, pro-style ranges, espresso machines, and smart indoor garden towers to help your home work better and feel more “you.”

Our products are for homeowners and renters who want better everyday living – faster EV charging, a more enjoyable kitchen, and fresh greens indoors – without confusing solar contracts or pushy sales tactics.


Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship?
Right now we ship within the United States. Some oversized or heavy items may have restrictions to certain locations; if there’s an issue with your address, we’ll contact you before processing the order.

How long does shipping take?
Most in-stock items ship within 3–7 business days, and delivery usually takes another 3–7 business days depending on your location and the carrier. Larger items like ranges and garden towers may ship by freight and can take a bit longer.

How much is shipping?
Shipping costs depend on the product size, weight, and destination. You’ll see the shipping cost at checkout before you place your order. For some larger items, we may offer promotional or flat-rate shipping.

How are large appliances and towers delivered?
Large items such as ranges and indoor garden towers typically ship via freight carrier. Freight deliveries are usually curbside, which means the driver delivers to the nearest safe point on your property (for example, your driveway), not inside your home.


Orders & Returns

Can I change or cancel my order?
If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible through the Contact page with your order number. If your order has not shipped yet, we’ll do our best to adjust or cancel it. Once an order is shipped, changes are limited.

What is your return policy?
We want you to be happy with your purchase. Many products can be returned within a limited window if they are new, unused, and in original packaging. Some items, such as special-order or installed appliances, may be subject to restocking fees or may not be returnable.

What if my order arrives damaged?
Please inspect your package as soon as it arrives. If you see any damage, take clear photos of the box and product and contact us right away. We’ll work with you and the carrier to resolve the issue and arrange a replacement or solution as quickly as possible.


Products & Installation

Do I need a professional to install my EV charger or range?
For safety and to comply with local codes, we strongly recommend that EV chargers and gas or electric ranges be installed by a licensed electrician or qualified installer. This also helps protect your warranty and your home.

Will your products work in my home?
Each product page includes key electrical or space requirements (voltage, amperage, dimensions, clearance, etc.). If you’re not sure whether something will work in your home, send us a message with details or a photo of your space/electrical panel and we’ll help you figure it out before you buy.

Do your indoor garden towers require a lot of maintenance?
Indoor garden towers are designed to be low-maintenance. You’ll need to check water levels, add nutrients, and clean the system periodically, but most people spend only a few minutes a week once things are set up.

Will this charger work with Tesla or NACS vehicles?

This depends on the connector type listed on the product page. Our Emporia Pro NEMA 14-50 version uses the NACS (Tesla) connector, so Tesla owners and other EVs adopting NACS should confirm compatibility before ordering.

Can EV chargers be installed outdoors?

Many modern EV chargers are designed for both indoor and outdoor installation. Always review the product specifications and installation instructions to ensure proper placement.

A licensed electrician can also recommend the best installation location.

Do you offer white-glove delivery or installation?

Some oversized products may have upgraded delivery options depending on the brand and destination. Availability varies by product. Contact us before ordering if you want help understanding delivery options.

Warranties & Support

What if my product arrives damaged?

Please inspect your order when it arrives. If the package appears damaged, take photos and contact Sustainable Alt as soon as possible so we can assist with a replacement or carrier claim if necessary.

Do your products come with a warranty?
Yes. Products sold through Sustainable Alt include the manufacturer’s warranty when applicable. Warranty details may vary by product and manufacturer.

How can I get support if I have a problem?
